According to some Christian leaders a candidates religious affiliation should not be a factor when considering the candidates qualifications for political office. But would they sing a different tune if the candidate was a practicing member – even an officer – in the Church of Satan founded by Anton LaVey? What say you? Should Christians consider a candidates religious affiliation?

A person’s religious affiliation affects his/her worldview and should be taken into accoung when voting.
I would rather have a socially conservative Mormon president, than a liberal apostate Christian.
Well, in this election you are getting neither! Romney just named a flaming homosexual to be his policy spokesman.
I agree with Gustone – and those are the only realistic choices at this point. We’ll elect a guy with decidedly anti-Biblical beliefs either way – but we might be able to save hundreds of thousands of unborn babies, for example.
But Gustone is assuming Romney is socially conservative. These responses still miss the point of the question asked: What if the candidate was fiscally conservative (with out doubts) and was an officer in the First Church of Satan?
Are we talking about elections in general, or is it all about one specific election: USA, 2012?? The question doesn’t indicate it is a USA-business.
